TEXARKANA, Ark. (KTHV) - An 11-year-old has been arrested and charged after he took an unloaded gun to school.
According to Officer Kristi Mitchell, school resource officer Christine Knouse responded to College Hill Middle School after she received a report of a child having a gun on campus. Mitchell said the 11-year-old had taken the unloaded small caliber handgun to school with intention of showing it to one of his friends.
The 11-year-old has been charged with possession of a handgun on school property, a class D Felony crime.
No one was injured during this incident, and no ammunition was found in the juvenile's possession.
