LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A beloved teacher at MLK Elementary who passed away in March is still having a big impact on the students at her school.
Friday at 1 p.m., Candi Van Patter's family donated 15 iPads to students at the school to honor her 50th birthday, and all of them were bought with money raised through "Candi's Cause."
Principal Karen Carter said Van Patter was a big fan of technology and would have loved to see the money used this way.
Mrs. Van Patter brought enthusiasm, creativity, and a little craziness. She liked to have fun, she enjoyed life, and she brought that to her kids," recalled Carter.
The iPads will be used for kids to help them in research, reading and making presentations.
