LRSD to change substitute teacher program

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - With the end of the school year in sight, the Little Rock School District is announcing changes coming next year for its substitute teacher program.

To save money, the district says it will use a private company, Will-Sub, to handle the way substitutes are hired, assigned and paid.

Pamela Smith with LRSD said that current employees should not notice much change in how they do their jobs, but the subs will see an increase in their daily pay due to the move.

This change takes effect July 1, 2014.
