LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Voters in Arkansas' 1st Congressional District will choose among three Democrats running to unseat Republican Rick Crawford, who is seeking a second term.

Early voting begins Monday across the state. The 1st District spans part of north-central Arkansas and almost the entire Delta region.

State Rep. Clark Hall of Marvell, Prosecutor Scott Ellington of Jonesboro and Gary Latanich, a professor at Arkansas State University are all on the May 22 primary ballot.

Hall says he demonstrated the ability to compromise in the Legislature and as mayor of Marvell. Ellington said he showed the same skill in settling the case of three men freed in the murders of three Cub Scouts in West Memphis.

Latanish says his economics training would guide him in office.
