LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton says cultures have to change in order for women to have more power.
Clinton spoke Monday at a meeting of the Club de Madrid, an organization that counts former presidents and prime ministers among its membership.
The group is meeting for two days in Little Rock and discussing ways to improve the standing of women economically and politically. Clinton and other panelists say cultural changes are needed at all levels of society - from impoverished nations where women should earn more for their crops to boardrooms in western nations.
Clinton closed his remarks by saying that rape as a weapon of war must stop.
