LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - According to the Centers for Disease Control, Arkansas has the 10th highest infant mortality rate in the United States. And the Arkansas Department of Health says a baby dies before their first birthday almost every day in the state.
Reducing the infant mortality rate in Arkansas is one of the state's top priorities. That's why THV is putting a focus on educating families on Infant mortality on this Medical Monday.
