On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, Krispy Kreme stores in Okla., Ark. and Lubbock, Texas will offer one free star-shaped doughnut with red, white and blue strips to each customer wearing an "I Voted" sticker. While voters may not always agree on the best candidate, they can agree on one thing, celebrating one of America's most coveted constitutional rights can be oh-so sweet.
"We hope customers will stop by our shops on Election Day and enjoy a sweet treat on us," said Richard L. Clements of A-OK, LLC, Krispy Kreme franchisee with shops in Okla., Ark. and Texas, and a member of the Hal Smith Restaurant Group.
The star-shaped treats are made from Krispy Kreme's signature, yeast-raised dough and are available only on Nov. 2. The promotion is good for one doughnut per customer and will be honored for customers who do not have an "I Voted" sticker.
