17-year-old charged in Little Rock's 32nd homicide

Arrest made in Little Rock's 32nd murder

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A North Little Rock teen has been arrested for a robbery turned homicide that occurred last month.

Davontay Baker,17, turned himself in at the North Little Rock Police Department on Thursday morning. He is being charged as an adult with capital murder.

On July 17, 19-year-old Samuel "Chris" Gilmore of Texas was found lying on the ground near West 14th Street with multiple fatal gunshot injuries.

This was the 32nd murder in the capital city this year. Little Rock police told THV11 that Gilmore had just recently moved to Little Rock.

Baker is being held at the Pulaski County Jail on no bond.
