911 knocked out by storm in Polk County

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Lightning from overnight storms knocked out 911 service in Polk County.

Polk County Office of Emergency Management wrote on their Facebook page that radio communication and 911 service was interrupted early Wednesday morning.

PCOEM said temporary radios have communications restored and AT&T is on their way to fix the 911 issue.

At this time Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is receiving Polk County's 911 calls and relaying them back to Polk County by radio.

PCOEM said if you have to place a 911 call for assistance please make sure that you tell them that you are in Polk County. This will make sure help arrives quickly with no delays.
