Animals saved from hoarding situation in Perry County

An animal rescue group in Perry County says it helped state and local law enforcement pulled several cats, dogs and other pets from a hoarding situation.

PERRY COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- An animal rescue group in Perry County says it helped state and local law enforcement save several cats, dogs and other pets from a hoarding situation on Saturday.

A video was sent to THV11 from the group Dirt Road Rescues. The Perry County Sheriff's Office and Arkansas State Police were on scene and found multiple cats, 13 dogs, nine rabbits, four turkeys and five ducks living in inhumane conditions. 

Members say they, along with other rescue groups including KC Pet Rescue, Atkins Pet Rescue and Arkanpaws Rescue helped police after they served a warrant at a property along Highway 60, near the town of Houston, Arkansas.
