LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- More than 500 Arkansans got up early Saturday morning and headed down to the Riverfront Amphitheater.
Instead of taking in a show, they took a stroll, for the March of Dimes' annual "March for Babies”. They had fun and games like the Superhero Sprint for kids in capes.
And there was emotion like the lei ceremony in honor of mothers and families who have faced the challenges of a premature birth. Roughly one in every 10 babies in the United States is born too soon.
This short walk, with Batman and Spiderman providing security, raised more than $100,000. The money goes toward education, research and family services, so it was only right they had perfect weather.
