Ark. man arrested on child porn charges

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) – A Conway man was arrested on Tuesday after a child pornography investigation. 

The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the suspect on October 10 after receiving a cyber tip-line report from the Nation Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

Acting on that report, FCSO investigators began an investigation which resulted in a search warrant being served at the suspect’s residence on Clifton Street in Conway.

Mark E. Nipps Jr., 29, was arrested and charged with one count of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. 

Multiple items of computer related evidence were seized and removed from the residence for further analysis.  At the time of the search warrant, Nipps was contacted and interviewed.  Following the interview and the completed search of the residence, he was transported to Unit 2 for booking, where he currently awaits a bond/court date.  

Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office considers this is an on-going investigation.
