THV11 News Director Dave Parker announced recently that after nine years with THV11, Morning Anchor Ashley Blackstone will be returning to her home of South Carolina, to accept an Anchor/Reporter position there.
Parker added, "We wish Ashley great success as she moves forward in her life and career."
Ashley joined THV11 in 2006. In addition to anchoring, she did features and investigative reporting. She received an Emmy in 2008 and has received multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards. Ashley also received an Emmy for her role in THV11's documentary on the 20th anniversary of the West Memphis Three in 2014. She was promoted to Anchor of THV11 This Morning in 2011.
Ashley is originally from South Carolina and is returning home, close to her family.
THV11 President and General Manager Michael Caplan commented, "We certainly wish Ashley the very best with her new opportunity and thank her for all she has given to Central Arkansas and THV11".
Ashley's last day will be September 25th. Parker added, "We're proud of all that Ashley accomplished here, from reporting to anchoring Arkansas' leading morning show."
