Benefit for Midtown Billiards staff happening this weekend

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Stickyz Rock N’ Roll Chicken Shack will hold a benefit this Friday to collect donations after a fire temporarily shut down an iconic Main Street bar.

Midtown Billiards, a historic billiards hall, caught fire Monday, leaving first responders and bar employees to try to figure out what caused the fire and what to do next. Smoke damaged the back of the bar, the ceiling and the surveillance system.

The bar will be closed for an undetermined period of time for reconstruction, and many staff members will be out of a job during that time.

Several bands, all of which are Midtown staples, will perform this Friday, September 23 at Stickyz to help the staff who abruptly lost their income.

All money collected from donations will go directly to the staff to help ensure their livelihood. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the shows will begin at 9 p.m.

Featured bands include GO FAST, American LionsDangerous Idiots and more. For more information, click here

Additionally, a bartender at local dive bar, Town Pump will be donating a portion of all his tips to the cause on Wednesday and Saturday evening, and all of his tips on Friday evening. You can also donate via a GoFundMe and a Crowdfund set up for members of the staff.
