'Good Samaritan' beaten, robbed

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A man who says he stopped to help another driver was beaten and robbed.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, the victim was on his way home from running errands and while he was exiting I-30 at exit 111 around 10:45 on Saturday, Aug. 16, he saw a gray vehicle stopped on the shoulder with its flashers on.

The Sheriff's Office said the victim then pulled over to help out the driver, but when he exited his vehicle, he said he was surrounded by two black men who then beat him unconscious.

The victim said when he awoke, the car was gone and his money and cell phone were taken. He then drove home and his wife took him to Saline Memorial for treatment.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
