Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport undergoes year-long renovations

Clinton airport to begin concourse renovation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A year long concourse renovation is now underway at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.

The project is part of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission's 2020 Vision Plan.  So far, passengers have already seen renovations to the airport's ticket lobby, baggage screening, and the baggage claim area.

Renovations include a modernized interior, new gate seating with in-seat chargers for portable devices, and new arrival and departure monitors and visual paging.

There will also be faster WiFi and stronger connectivity for your cell phones.  And they've already added new restrooms.

"Over the next year passengers will see various areas of our concourse under construction, and when it's finished, I think they're really going to love the end product," said Shane Carter, spokesperson for the Clinton National Airport

Construction will be mainly at night and during off-peak travel times.

The airport will halt the construction during the holidays then pick back up in January.
