Bloodhounds help track down driver who fled from deputy

CARLISLE, Ark. (KTHV) – When a chief deputy in Lonoke County stopped to check on a possible stranded motorist around 5 p.m. Tuesday, the driver fled the vehicle.

Carlton Cole, 25, headed into a wooded area, according to Sheriff John Staley, and the passenger remained in the car.

Sheriff Staley said further investigation show that Cole had outstanding warrants from Carlisle, Beebe, and Ashley County.

Other authorities, including members of the Department of Corrections with tracking blood hounds, were able to locate Cole by 5:35 p.m. He was taken into custody and is reportedly facing charges of fleeing, resisting arrest, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Staley said the passenger, Brandy Dismuke, 25, was also arrested for the possession of drug paraphernalia.
