Boil order lifted for East End

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — East End lifted its boil order the afternoon of Jan. 24.

The East End Water Department experienced a major water leak to its 12-inch water line located under I-530.

Officials were asking residents not to use water until otherwise instructed so that they can fill up water lines and towers to restore service.

Because of the lack of water resources, the East End Fire Department had implemented a burn ban until 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22.

Water personnel initially expected to have water service restored by Monday evening.
