Boozman hosts tele-town hall as health care bill heads to Senate

Senator John Boozman to host tele-town hall

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Senator John Boozman will continue his series of telephone town halls on Monday, May 8 at 7 p.m.

The event hopes to "connect with Arkansans and discuss topics under debate in Washington." Mr. Boozman has offered advantages to holding the event digitally, saying that "statewide event gives Arkansans the opportunity to ask Boozman questions over the phone or listen to the conversation about the issues impacting our state and nation."

The event comes on the hills of the House of Representative's vote on the American Health Care Act, the Republican plan to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama's health care law, the Affordable Care Act. The AHCA now heads to the Senate.

Arkansans interested in participating in the phone conversation should call toll free 888-400-1986 to connect to the discussion and ask questions.
