Cabot Crafters help community with crochets and crafts

Cabot Crafters for a Cause make a difference

CABOT, Ark. (KTHV) - Cabot Crafters for a Cause are making a difference in Central Arkansas, specifically in their very own community. Two items, a needle and yarn, is all they need.

Founder Kim Jasmine was once a foster mom and started crocheting to give her kids something to call their own. She said the group takes a lot of pride in every loop they thread.

“We all get together and crochet things for the community, nursing homes, foster kids, women’s shelters… basically anyone who needs anything with a crochet hook,” said Jasmine.

Jasmine feels a special connection to each person wearing a blanket or any item she’s made by hand. Members make everything from hats, socks, and even walker bags for patients. Right now there are only women in the group, but men are welcome to join.

The group currently has over 95 members and counting. If you want to get involved or donate yarn, visit the group’s Facebook page at “Cabot Crafters for a Cause”.
