LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Central Arkansas Water (CAW) held a meeting today on the water main that broke on September 30. They said the problem was a spontaneous pipe break, but aren't sure of the exact cause.
The company has place the person living in the home in an extended stay hotel. He has until the end of the month to find a new place to live.
CAW is working with the homeowner to come up with an agreement after his house was flooded with water. In CAW's claims policy, water pipeline breaks are not covered. Any solution the company decides with the homeowner will be brought before the board for approval.
They are currently assessing the cost of the damage and what they can offer to the homeowner. They should come to a final agreement in the coming weeks.
