Clinton campaign holds event with taco truck to court voters

Clinton campaign tries taco truck to turn out voters

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is back on the campaign trail this week after falling ill with pneumonia. Here in Arkansas, local organizers for the Clinton campaign held an event to say thank you to to supporters and to sign up more potential voters before the first Tuesday of November.

Organizers and volunteers helped with the event by phone banking and answering questions for anyone who showed up to the event.

Volunteer Ray Scott said, "We wanted to have an event that thanked the volunteers and show them our appreciation for the hard work. So, we brought the taco truck in and invited folks to come as a recruiting tool for additional volunteers."

Taco trucks have become a symbol in the Clinton campaign after a Trump supporter, Marco Gutierrez said a Clinton win would lead to "taco trucks on every corner." Trump's campaign has not visited Arkansas since securing the nomination as the Republican's choice for President.
