Cold, snowy winter predicted for the Natural State

It's been awhile since most of Arkansas has seen a cold and snowy winter, but it seems like the 2018 Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting it!

The Almanac, which has claimed a near 80 percent accuracy rate, is predicting that many southern states will experience a cold and snowy winter.

The 226th edition of the almanac predicts that a wide swath of the United States will experience snow, but some states may have "milder-than-average" temperatures.

In Arkansas, the almanac is saying that winter will be rainier, slightly cooler, and snowfall could be above the normal average.

The coldest periods will take place from early to mid-December up to early February. April and May are expected to be cooler and rainier as well.
