Conway detention officer arrested, resigned

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) – A Conway detention officer is under arrest.

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office said July 26 just after midnight, Conway police were called to an apartment complex at 2730 Dave Ward Dr. about a loud party complaint.

When they arrived they spoke with 21-year-old Datavian Bowser. After an argument and a short struggle with officers, the Sheriff's office said Bowser was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor (Bowser's roommate was 20-years-old and consuming alcohol), resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff's Office said Bowser had worked as a detention officer at Unit 1 for approximately seven months.

After Mr. Bowser was called in to start an internal investigation, he gave a short interview and resigned.
