Cooler stolen outside home that offers free water every summer

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The purple house on the corner of Cantrell Rd. and Kavanaugh Blvd. has been putting out a cooler full of free water for the past five summers. On Thursday around 2:15 p.m., that cooler was stolen by a woman in a red Chevy pickup.

The theft of the cooler is not a new occurrence for owners of the little purple house though. Andrea Cordell said, "It gets stolen several times each year but this is the first time it has been witnessed and reported back to me."

She said it's a testament that there is still good in the world. The Facebook post has been shared over 80 times with people showing love and support for that small cooler full of water that sits out front of Cordell's house.

"I have not gotten anything like the response I have," said Cordell.

Cordell insists they will continue to put out free water for all who need it. She said she will continue to "spread a little love to our neighbors."

The neighbors spread some of their own love on Friday when Cordell found a brand new cooler on her front porch. Under it was a not that said, "Bad people don't win! Thanks for what you do!"

Even some of the comments on her page have suggested donating even more coolers to her cause.

It's clear that the theft of one cooler will not stop the good that the little purple house gives to Little Rock.
