LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Downtown Little Rock is a place to live, work, and play. An area designed and built by its very own residents. That's exactly what the makeover of the Creative Corridor is all about.
Located on Main Street, this section of town, wants to be the talk of the town once again. Caran Curry, Grants Division Coordinator with the City of Little Rock, is excited for new additions in the area. She thinks growth on Main Street will help Central Arkansas compete with other large metropolitan cities.
“It is the heart of Arkansas. It’s not a Main Street that should be dead and not have people," she said. "It needs to be alive and vibrant!”
And alive and vibrant it will soon be.
Ballet Arkansas, tasty new restaurants, and the Symphony Orchestra are just a few attractions you'll find moving to the Creative Corridor. The routes for the Race for the Cure as well as the Little Rock Marathon could also make their way through this busy street in the future.
The Ballet is set to have its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony next Tuesday, October 25th. Their first official performance will be the Nutcracker at the newly renovated Robinson Center downtown. Tickets are on sale now.
