LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Early Monday morning, the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas dispatched several crews to help the recovery efforts in Florida and South Carolina.
The crews will work to restore power to homes and businesses that were knocked out during Hurricane Irma.
The cooperative is sending 145 linemen to the two states. Forty-five of those workers will head to Florida while the rest will make their way to South Carolina.
More crews may be sent as the damage in places hit during the storm are assessed.
