Entergy Arkansas linemen head to aid in flooding

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (October 5, 2016) -- Under threat from Hurricane Matthew, South Carolina has ordered an evacuation of the coast. Entergy Arkansas linemen and support staff are proud to be in a position to hit the road to help their utility brothers and sisters of Duke Energy Carolinas.

Just as workers helped Arkansas this past summer, Entergy Arkansas is sending a travel restoration team of about 70 workers, including linemen and servicemen, operation coordinators, line supervisors, logistics workers, safety specialists and various other support staff.

Additionally, Entergy Arkansas released 40 contractors that they typically work with so that they can provide support to Dominion.

Every utility company relies on a mutual assistance agreement to help restore power when severe weather strikes. Teams from throughout the Entergy operating system are proud to answer the resource call from utility companies along the Atlantic coast. As with any opportunity in which we send a travel team, we ensure our teams remaining in Arkansas are here to maintain service reliability for our customers.
