LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (October 31, 2016) – Fornetti, an international bakery with 8,000 European locations, is coming to the U.S. and has chosen the Arkansas and Oklahoma markets for the launch of its operations.
Starting this month, Fornetti’s artisan breads, pastries and donuts will be freshly baked on-site and sold at Road Runner stores in Conway, Fort Smith, Heber Springs, Hot Springs and Little Rock. The in-store bakeries are expected to be available statewide by the spring of 2017.
“The Fornetti concept will change the way Road Runner consumers shop for bread and pastry products throughout the day,” said Samantha Knoll, director of merchandising for Road Runner. “Whether it’s for breakfast with coffee or just grabbing a lunchtime roll, we’ll always have something freshly baked for our customers to enjoy.”
The initial in-store bakeries are located in Road Runner’s stores at 545 Skyline Drive in Conway; 6320 Rogers Highway in Fort Smith; 1500 Bypass Road in Heber Springs; 3039 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs; and 800 South Broadway Street, 11401 Cantrell Road and 13400 I-30 in Little Rock. All locations offer a variety of premium bakery products including chocolate and fruit-filled pastries; donuts; artisan breads; and baguettes.
“We are truly excited to partner with Road Runner as we know locals will love our baked goods the moment they try them,” said Nick Peters, CEO of Fornetti USA. “Road Runner’s track record in leading the market with innovative concepts make them a natural partner for us as we introduce even more consumers to the great tastes of Fornetti in-store bakeries.”
