Five Houston, Texas residents arrested in Maumelle after Walgreens burglary

MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) – Five people from Houston, Texas were arrested Wednesday morning in connection to a burglary at Walgreens in Maumelle.

Around 4 a.m., Maumelle police responded to a burglary alarm call at the Walgreens at State Highway 100 and Odom Boulevard. Police said that the store’s front door was damaged and there was a silver Nissan Rogue with Texas plates in the parking lot.

Once police pulled into the parking lot, the vehicle drove away. Officers began chasing the vehicle.

After a brief chase, one person got out of the vehicle and ran. The other four remained in the vehicle and drove off again. The car then stopped again at Ouachita Drive and Millwood Circle where another person got out of the car and started running. The remaining three people in the car were arrested at this time.

Officers began searching for the two people that ran. One person was found and arrested around 6 a.m. on Highway 365. The second person was found around 7:20 a.m. on Odom Blvd.

Police took 31-year-old Tyrone Trammer, 29-year-old Saleta Winn, 19-year-old Malik Johnson, 20-year-old Deanthony Roquemore, and 30-year-old Ebony Kiffa to Maumelle Police headquarters.

They were charged with: commercial burglary, possession of instruments of a crime, possession of a prescription drugs with intent to deliver, theft of property, and fleeing.
