Former Razorback arrested for animal cruelty

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFSM) - A former Razorback football player was arrested after police found a dog dead inside his home.

Former University of Arkansas linebacker, Jarrett Lake was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated animal cruelty charges.

Fayetteville police found one dead pit bull and another malnourished.

Police say when they called Lake, he was away at a football camp but admitted to owning the dogs.

He is out on a $2,500 bond tonight.

He played for the Razorbacks from 2010 to 2013.
