Fort Smith man sentenced to 60 years for sexually exploiting 2 infants

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KTHV) - On Wednesday, a Fort Smith man was sentenced to 60 years in prison for sexually exploiting two infants.

According to CBS affiliate KFSM, 29-year-old James Spiotto was found guilty of conspiring to produce child pornography and production of child pornography by the U.S. District Court of Western Arkansas.

Spiotto's 60-year sentence also comes with no possibility of parole followed by supervised release for life.

Law enforcement agents in February 2016 found a hard drive with explicit photos and videos of a 3-month-old boy and 11-month-old girl being sexually abused.

During the investigation, Spiotto admitted that both he and Amelia Spiotto arranged to babysit the 11-month-old in order to make the videos. In a different video, the pair sexually abused the 3-month-old.

Amelia Spiotto has yet to be sentenced.
