Fundraising/Donation Events for Tornado Victims

To help raise money and collect donated items for the victims of Arkansas' deadly and damaging tornado that struck Sunday, some events are being planned. Here's a list of some THV11 has learned of. If you know of one taking place, please add the information to the comments section of this article.

American Pie Pizzas Donation Night

  • All 3 American Pie Pizzas locations (Little Rock, Maumelle, North Little Rock) are hosting a fundraiser night on Saturday, May 3, 2014
  • 10% of sales Saturday will go toward tornado victims
  • 10% of online sales through Sunday, May 4 will go toward tornado victims
  • Each location will have donation boxes for items to deliver to the affected areas

Big Orange Fundraising Effort

  • Both Big Orange Little Rock locations (The Promenade and Midtown) will donate 10% of all sales made through Wednesday, May 7 to tornado relief efforts
  • They will also give free shakes and burgers to people who donate (via check) to the Red Cross relief fund($10-$49 donated = free shake; $50-$100 = free burger)

BBQ lunch for Donation Drop-off in Searcy

  • Date: Saturday, May 3, 2014
  • Location: Coast to Coast Hardware - 2133 E. Race Street in Searcy
  • Time: Noon - Until
  • Details: Dirt Road Car Club is giving a free BBQ meal in exchange for a donation of any sort (money, non-perishables, clothes, toiletries, etc)

Community Relief Concert in Conway

  • Toad Suck Daze at Preston Palmer Stage on Court House Lawn
  • Friday, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Knox Hamilton, Taylor Nealey
  • All donations accepted will be give to American Red Cross & The Salvation Army

Genghis Grill Tornado Relief Fundraiser in Little Rock

  • Wednesday, May 7
  • 20 percent of sales go to Arkansas Tornado Relief Fund

Relay for Life of Greater Little Rock partnering with Arkansas Foodbank

Please bring the following items to Relay for Life at Clinton Library Friday, May 2 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.:

  • Pop top entrees
  • Fruit and pudding cups
  • Individual juices
  • Crackers, peanut butter, Vienna sausage, Beanie Weenies, canned tuna and chicken, shelf-stable milk, individual cereal, granola and energy bars, energy drinks/Gatorade, plastic spoon/fork kits

Relay for Life of Saline County partnering with Boys & Girls Club of Bryant

Please bring the following items to Relay for Life at Bishop Park in Bryant Friday at 6 p.m.:

  • Gift cards in small amounts
  • Hand sanitizer and/or wet wipes
  • First aid supplies
  • Gatorade/Powerade, drink mixes
  • Gloves
  • Dog/cat food
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Diapers
  • Can openers (manual)

Fundraising: State of Mind Clothing t-shirt sales

  • States of Mind Clothing has an Arkansas shirt for purchase
  • The website says 100% of its proceeds go toward Arkansas tornado disaster relief

Toad Suck Daze

  • Collection points located throughout the festival. All contributions to be divided among local chapters of the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and United Way.

White County Tornado Relief Concert

  • Friday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m.
  • 115 Main St. in Beebe, Ark.
  • Jeff Bates with special guests Under the Influence, Luke Williams, Big Shane Thornton, Victoria Taylor with Elizabeth Taylor.
  • All proceeds go toward helping White County tornado victims
