GoFundMe set up for Yell County woman whose daughter, mother were killed

Woman held hostage by man who killed her mother and daughter speaks out

DARDANELLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- A GoFundMe has been set up for a woman who was held hostage by her ex-boyfriend after he killed her mother and daughter.

James Bowden shot 61-year-old Rita Miller and 17-year-old Ciera Miller and held Haley Mcham hostage for more than five hours. Bowden also shot Yell County Lieutenant Kevin Mainhart.

“He shot my mother four times and then my daughter once in the chest and he came in and told me it was my fault. He said if I had come home they would still be alive and that I was going to have to live with it,” Mcham said.

Bowden is currently in custody and being held at the Conway County jail. His bond hearing is set for Monday where he faces three charges of capital murder. He will appear in court on May 25 at the Dardanelle District Court.

The GoFundMe was set up by Ashley Allen to help Mcham as she deals with this loss. To donate click here.
