Golf tournament scheduled to benefit Arkansas children

NLR Lions Club hosts golf tournament

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Monday, September 18 the North Little Rock Lions Club hosts its annual four player scramble.

It’s called the most valuable tournament because of all it does for kids, beginning with saving their vision. Proceeds allow Lions Clubbers to buy more diagnostic machines that can give school kids eye exams in a matter of seconds.

Last year Lions Clubbers screened 1,629 kids in 25 different venues with this special camera. Ten to 15 percent of those kids needed extra care and eyewear.

Next, the tournament provides scholarships to Camp Corral. It’s a special place for the children of disabled veterans.

And if that wasn’t enough, the Club also provides scholarships to graduating seniors in NLR.

Golf is a game that’s all about selecting the right club, and by picking the Lions, you’ve got the right club.

The tournament is September 18 at The Greens at North Hills. The cost is $300 per team or $75 a person. Registration starts at 11 a.m. The first place team wins $400. To enter click here.
