Greenbrier student arrested after Instagram post for terroristic threatening

GREENBRIER, Ark. (KTHV) - The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office were informed of an Instagram post from a Greenbrier High School student on Thursday.

In the post, the juvenile threatened they were going to shoot up the school while holding an Airsoft AR-15. An airsoft gun fires plastic projectiles and are used in paintball games.

Deputies worked with the Greenbrier Police Department to arrest the juvenile. They are being charged with one count of terroristic threatening.

Police decided the juvenile did not "have an immediate ability to carry out the threat."
