Groups stake out in front of Sen. Cotton's office to oppose new health care plan

"Stakeouts to Save Health Care" held outside Tom Cotton's office

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A handful of Arkansans are holding stakeouts today to save health care.

The groups like "moveon.org" are staging 12-hour "Stakeouts to Save Our Health Care" outside the Little Rock District Office of Senator Tom Cotton. They want Senator Cotton to reject the GOP's new health care plan being called "TrumpCare" that would cancel coverage for nearly 24 million Americans.

"This takes time, months years. I mean come on give us a break. Anyway they just started Obamacare, now we know what we can fix, go to that. Don't just wipe out all the healthcare, it’s just it's absurd,” said Margaret Cameron with moveon.org.

The House Budget Committee voted to advance the Republican health care bill today. Three conservative G-O-P lawmakers joined all the Democrats on the panel in voting against the measure.
