Guns, laptops, money stolen from unlocked cars in Bryant

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) -- Bryant police arrested two individuals after multiple vehicle break-ins were reported.

According to police, numerous calls were made last weekend from individuals at Andre's Place and The Lakes apartment complexes reporting vehicle break-ins. Items stolen from vehicles ranged from money and laptops to guns.

Police said each break-in had one thing in common: all the vehicles reported being broken into were left unlocked.

Suspects were determined to be Steve "Stevie" Howard, 18, and a juvenile. They were arrested and charged with felony breaking or entering and felony theft of property.

Police concluded the press release saying, "The Bryant Police Department would like to remind people of how important it is to not leave valuables in your car and to always remember to lock your vehicle."
