Hot Springs child rescued after falling down well

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - On Sunday evening a child was saved by the Lake Hamilton Fire and Rescue team after falling down an old well.

The fire and rescue team posted to their Facebook two photos from the incident. The anonymous child fell down into the well, which the rescue team estimated to be about 15 feet. The well was covered with a piece of plywood, which the child fell through.

When they arrived to the scene, Chief Andersen did "some quick thinking" and pulled the child out with some of his equipment.

The post thanked both Andersen for his job well done and the community for the support they give to the fire and rescue team. At this time, there is no injury update on the child.
