Hot Springs police investigating shooting that left one woman injured

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) – The Hot Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one woman injured.

On Thursday around 11:21 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Albert Pike Road in reference to a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old female in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to her lower back. Police say she was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses who were present stated that the victim was walking in the parking lot on Albert Pike Road when a maroon four-door sedan stopped at the intersection of Avery Street and Albert Pike.  The witnesses reported seeing an unknown suspect fire multiple shots from the car.
