Missing Garland Co. man's body found in vacant lot, died of accidental hypothermia

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - The body found by the Hot Springs Police Department in a vacant lot on Jan. 17 has been identified as a missing Mountain Pine man.

An autopsy confirmed the body found in a vacant lot at the intersection of Spring and Illinois is 18-year-old Darrell Stipes.

Stipes was reported missing by the Garland County Sheriff's Office back in December.

The autopsy also concluded that Stipes cause of death was due to accidental hypothermia.
