LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A woman accused of driving recklessly with her children in the car, injuring several people, and dragging a man beneath her car on Halloween night pleaded not guilty to those charges against her.
Twila Watson appeared in the Garland County Circuit Court Wednesday for a plea and arraignment hearing. The Hot Springs woman is charged with multiple counts of second-degree battery, endangering the welfare of a minor, leaving the scene of an accident and DWI.
Twila Watson reportedly plowed through a neighborhood along Quail Ridge Drive in her car Halloween night. Police say she hit several parked cars, ran over a woman's foot, and dragged a man 10 feet who tried to control the car to stop her.
Deputies say test results show her blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit at the time of the crash. A gag order was issued in the case on Tuesday, but a court clerk told THV11 Watson is next scheduled to appear in court May 27.
