LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Local opponents of President Trump are borrowing an idea from the story of Julius Caesar. A small group from "Indivisible Central Arkansas" held a postcard-writing event Sunday afternoon.
They wrote about health care, the environment, the president's tax returns, and other issues. They're hoping to, metaphorically, bury the president in postcards that they will send to him on Wednesday, the "Ides of March."
More than 400 people have joined the group in the last couple weeks, which doesn't surprise one of its founders.
"There are so many people that are frustrated, and upset, and angry, and scared, because the legislation in play affects everybody,” said Indivisible Central Arkansas member Terrie Root.
Members also sent postcards to Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, and to Governor Asa Hutchinson, to oppose the planned executions of 8 inmates.
