Investigators arrest Ohio man in Ark. for conspiracy to commit rape

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) – An Ohio man was arrested on Wednesday after he attempted to travel to Arkansas to have sexual relations with minors.

Investigators with the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jason Norman Lawniczak of Bowling Green, Ohio. He was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit rape.

FCSO investigators began communicating with Lawniczak after he initiated contact via a social networking site and indicated he was interested in sexual contact with a “family”.

Investigators communicated with him from approximately April 18, 2017 up until the date of his arrest on May 3.

During those communications, Lawniczak allegedly made arrangements to travel from his residence in Ohio to a pre-determined location in Conway for the purpose of deviate sexual contact with two underage children between the ages of 9-12 years old. When Lawniczak arrived at the location he was contacted by FCSO personnel and placed under arrest.

At the time of his arrest Lawniczak was found in possession of a laptop, an external hard drive, a cellular device, and a gift bag containing Skittles, a child’s toy, a pocket-knife, and a necklace. Additional items were seized from his vehicle and included a laptop, lubrication, various sex toys, two masks, and two leashes.

This incident remains under investigation. Stay with THV11 and thv11.com for more details as they become available.
