CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The state's largest 9/11 collection is on display at the University of Central Arkansas. The full collection contains letters, photographs and official statements from local, state and federal officials.
Essays from Saint Bartholomew School students in Queens, New York are also displayed at UCA. Jimmy Bryant, Director of Archives and historian at UCA, said the display is special because you don't have to leave the state.
"The younger people for those are not familiar with 9/11," Bryants said. "The freshman this year were 3-years-old, some 4-years-old...when this event happened. So, they don't have the contemporary memory of those of us who are older have."
The collection will be on display through September 14. It's free and open to the public, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
