CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – According Cleburne County Sheriff Chris Brown, the fourth victim of 2017 drowned on the Little Red River last week.
Reports state that on July 26 around 1 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a possible drowning on the river at JFK Park.
Emergency personnel performed CPR on 18-year-old Toby Tyler of West Memphis. He was transported to Baptist Health in Heber Springs and then Arkansas Children’s Hospital where he later died.
A witness stated that he had seen Tyler fishing from the bank of the river prior to being found in the water. The incident is still under investigation.
