Little Rock celebrates Earth Day early

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- In addition to Easter and Passover, many also celebrating Earth Day this week.

The state's Earth Day chapter held a festival with Heifer International Saturday in Little Rock. The city celebrated 11 years of promoting environmentally-conscious lifestyles, and keeping with this month's theme, almost everything has a very green footprint.

"We also have a family jump zone or children's jump zone. That is actually powered by the solar panels that Heifer has on this campus," said Heifer Village director Tracey Meyer-Chesser

Tues., April 22 is the official Earth Day this year.
