Little Rock celebrates National Cancer Survivors Day

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- So here's a question for you, what do Superheroes do on their day off?

Well, we have the answer. They head to the American Cancer Society headquarters in Little Rock. Where Captain America was a greeter and our own Craig O'Neill emceed the party.

This was the 30th celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day. Who knew that Wonder Woman is actually survivor Crystal Gibson who told her story to a small, but enthusiastic crowd.

The people from the Cancer Society are quick to point out, this is a day to celebrate life, with an obvious super hero theme. And Craig pointed out that's appropriate since cancer survivors are indeed superheroes in so many ways.
