Little Rock Family: Hot exhibits to start summer family fun

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Summer itself may have just started, but the kid's summer vacation is already in full swing.

Fun family activities and attractions abound in central Arkansas. Little Rock Family editor Heather Bennett is here today to share some super hot exhibits that will only be around for a little while longer.

1. InCiteful Clay at Arkansas Arts Center. This national traveling exhibition offers an unparalleled overview of an emergent movement in contemporary ceramics dedicated to social commentary. Lasts through June 29th.

2. Heifer Relief: Compass, Ark, Berth at Heifer Village. Don't miss this Jo Israelson multimedia art exhibit featuring the seagoing cowboys as they related to Heifers for Relief story. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Lasts through June 30th.

3. Also through June 30, Different Spokes at the Old State House Museum. Visitors view galleries of artifacts, historical pictures and video to learn the history of bicycles. The exhibit explores the technological advances of cycling in the past 130 years, the story of competition, economics, and social life. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
