Little Rock Fashion Week has a big night

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's been a big week for Little Rock fashion, but Saturday night was the big night.

A black-tie gala event showed off the new fall and winter lines from the area's top designers. Our own Denise Middleton was one of the VIP's hosting the event.

Spokesperson Kianna Austin explained what creator Brandon Campbell wanted when he started the fashion week in 2009.

"We get a chance to come out and as a community—as a whole—get an opportunity to come out and enjoy ourselves with high class fashion. I will say this. It's high class fashion, and to just really enjoy yourself," she said.

Helaine Williams, a columnist for the Democrat-Gazette, was honored with this year's fashion icon award. The week featured 80 elite models and nine regional fashion labels.
